Marcus Garvey

One of the twentieth century's most prominent leaders in Black Nationalism and Pan-Africanism, Marcus Garvey was born on August 17, 1887 in Saint Ann's Bay, Jamaica.   Garvey was the founder of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League.
