Legendary professional boxer Floyd Patterson died on May 11, 2006 in New Paltz, New York. Patterson was born in Waco, North Carolina on January 4, 1935. His family moved to Brooklyn, New York while he was still a child. The former undisputed World Heavyweight Champion first won the heavyweight championship at at age 21. Patterson's record was 55 wins (8 by KO), eight losses and one draw.
